About Me
Hi, I'm Michael. I'm based in Minnesota , where I live with my fiancé Chelsea❤️. We share our home with our companions: (3), (3), Salem (7), and Oliver (7).
I spend much of my time focused on self-hosting and home lab projects. I experiment with new tools and manage my own infrastructure to keep my technical skills sharp and stay current with emerging technologies.
I work as a Systems Engineer at VC3 , supporting businesses within a fast-paced MSP environment. With over 6 years in the industry, my background is built on managing diverse infrastructures, automation, and high-level technical support.
I'd love to hear from you! You can reach me through my contact page if you want to chat or just say hello.

Philosophy
I've always been driven by the need to understand how things work under the hood. That curiosity usually turns a quick fix into a weekend-long project, where the goal isn't just to get it running, but to rebuild it better, faster, and more efficient than it was before.
Ownership
I believe in self-hosting and digital sovereignty. If it’s critical, it should run on hardware I control and infrastructure I understand from the ground up.
Resiliency
Systems should be built to survive. I prioritize security, redundancy, and high availability - not because it's easy, but because reliable systems are invisible.
Iteration
Optimization is a continuous process. I’m never truly "done" with a project; there is always a way to refactor, simplify, or squeeze out more performance.
"If you have to do it twice, automate it."
